TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro HCS-2 — modular control centre

The Hydro-X Pro HCS-2 organises an installation around a central unit, sensors and control modules. Its 10.1-inch touchscreen provides the system interface. Support for up to 50 sensors and 50 control modules allows the architecture to be planned around the equipment in the room. These figures are maximum connection capacities, not quantities of accessories supplied in the box. The four-in-one MBS-PRO sensor is included, while interfaces for the controlled devices are selected separately according to the installation.

Organising connections and components

Build the architecture as a chain: a sensor provides information, the central unit uses it and a suitable interface operates the relevant device. Measuring a parameter and acting on it are therefore separate functions. The MBS-PRO combines four measurements in one sensor, but that does not mean four treatment devices are included. Modules for lighting, ventilation, heating and humidity equipment are selected separately. When integrating a ThinkGrow light, check its exact model and control connection. Do not infer the number of channels or supported functions from the brand name alone.

For expansion, maintain an inventory of sensors and modules already connected, keeping the two capacity limits distinct: up to 50 of each type. These figures are not a promise of compatibility with any interface. Finally, define what light information the installation needs. The MBS-PRO distinguishes day and night; PAR measurement calls for an appropriate sensor. This distinction avoids designing a measurement function around data the supplied sensor does not generate. A clear equipment list makes the controller, sensing layer and device interfaces easier to select and maintain as the room evolves.
