What is the real service life of the activated carbon?

Does the filter work in intake as well as extraction?
Yes. It is mainly used in extraction, on the outgoing air, to neutralise odours before they are released outside. It can also be fitted on the air intake if needed. In extraction, place it ideally at the highest point of the grow room, where warm, odour-laden air naturally accumulates.
How do I properly maintain the pre-filter?
Remove the textile pre-filter, shake it to get rid of the bulk of the dust, then wash it with clean water without any aggressive detergent that could damage it.
