In a grow room the ducting is never just a pipe. It decides whether your fan delivers its rated airflow or wastes half of it fighting static pressure. BloomLED stocks this Ø250 mm, 10 metre Alu/PVC combi duct for high-volume setups - the ones running a large extractor into a carbon filter, where a single odour leak is one too many.

The combi construction layers aluminium and PVC around a helical steel spiral. That sandwich is the whole point: aluminium blocks odours and shrugs off the warm air coming off your lamps, while PVC brings the flex and puncture resistance that thin single-ply aluminium ducting simply does not have - the kind that tears the first time you reposition a tent.
All 10 metres compress down concertina-style for storage, then pull out to exactly the run you need. Cut it with a knife, clamp it, and keep the offcut for the second leg of the circuit - your intake, or the return into the filter. On a Ø250 build that is usually enough to cover both extraction and intake from a single purchase.

Aluminium stops odours escaping and handles warm extract air; PVC absorbs twisting and abrasion. Ducting that survives a tight bend instead of splitting at it.
Ships compressed, extends to a full 10 metres. Set the length to the centimetre and avoid the slack loops that quietly strangle your fan's airflow.
Paired with a carbon filter it stops unfiltered air slipping out between the housing and the outlet. Essential the moment your grow shares a wall with living space.
One clamp at each end, one turn of a screwdriver, done. No special tools, no proprietary fittings.
Match the duct to your fan's outlet exactly - Ø250 mm here. Necking down to a smaller duct raises static pressure, so the fan works harder, draws more power and gets noticeably louder. If you genuinely have to change diameter, fit a proper reducer rather than crushing the duct.
Slide 5-10 cm of ducting over the appliance collar, then tighten a Ø250 metal clamp over it. Firm is enough - over-tightening crushes the steel spiral. For heavy odour loads, add a wrap of aluminium tape over the joint for a perfect seal.
The PVC layer damps vibration slightly, but silencing is not what this duct is for. For a real acoustic gain, use insulated ducting such as Phonic Trap, or fit a silencer on the fan outlet and run this duct after it.
BloomLED's rule of thumb: always order 10-20% more length than you measured. Slightly slack ducting bends without pinching and protects your fan's rated airflow - duct pulled drum-tight eventually cracks at the bends.
