The Rhino PRO Ø125 x 300 mm carbon filter is a high-performance and reliable solution for effectively controlling odors in your indoor garden. Designed for a nominal airflow of 425 to 500 m³/h, this filter incorporates Australian RC4-12 activated carbon, guaranteeing exceptional air purification. Its robust, lightweight aluminum construction with an internal cone creates a vortex effect, ensuring optimal airflow while preventing leaks. Ideal for installation on 125 mm extractors, it perfectly meets the needs of growers seeking quality and durability.
This filter is installed on the intake side of your 125mm extractor fan to fully capture odor-laden air. For optimal efficiency, be sure to use hose clamps or airtight insulating sleeves to prevent any air leaks. Ideally, position it high up in your grow space to take advantage of natural convection. It is recommended to slightly oversize your fan (approximately 30% more than the nominal airflow) to compensate for pressure drop and ensure consistent air exchange.
To maximize performance, combine it with a suitable extraction system and high-performance horticultural LED lighting; discover our expert advice on indoor lighting on our blog: Choosing the right LED lamp for your indoor growing .
Regular maintenance of the pre-filter, which can be washed several times, is crucial to preserving the activated carbon's effectiveness. Clean it every 3 to 6 months or replace it if necessary. This simple step prevents premature clogging of the carbon and ensures optimal airflow. The RC4-12 activated carbon offers an extended lifespan of up to two years, depending on usage and maintenance.
To avoid damaging the components, do not expose the filter to extreme conditions beyond the recommended standards (generally a maximum of 40°C and 80% relative humidity for indoor use). This monitoring ensures maximum longevity and high efficiency for your horticultural equipment.
