What is the minimum speed function of the GSE FC17 for?
It ensures your extractor fan never shuts off completely. Even once the target temperature is reached, a residual airflow (adjustable 20 to 100 %) is maintained to renew the air, prevent condensation and limit the risk of mould.
Is the FC17 compatible with all extractor fans?It drives TRIAC variable-speed fans. Most extractor fans commonly used in indoor growing are compatible. If you are unsure about your model, the BloomLED team is happy to advise you.
Can the probe be placed away from the controller?Yes. The 5 V digital probe comes with a 4 m cable that can be extended up to 50 m. You can place the sensor in the heart of the canopy while keeping the unit easily accessible.
Does the controller also manage humidity?The FC17 measures relative humidity to ±3 % RH and offers two independent outputs to drive temperature, humidity and pressure. For more advanced combined management, see the higher-end GSE models below.
