Your extractor fan exchanges the air in your grow room, but it does very little to move it around. Without internal circulation, hot air stalls under the grow light, moisture collects around the foliage and stems stay weak. The Secret Jardin Monkey Fan 24V solves precisely that: a compact auxiliary fan that mounts on your tent poles and keeps the air moving around the clock, drawing barely 2.85 W.

Why air circulation matters so much

Still air creates a hostile micro-climate. A thin layer of saturated air, known as the boundary layer, forms across every leaf surface and blocks gas exchange. Photosynthesis slows down and the risk of powdery mildew or botrytis climbs sharply. By pushing 107 m³/h through your space, the Monkey Fan strips away that boundary layer, evens out the temperature between the top and the bottom of the canopy and holds humidity steady. The constant motion also stresses the stems mechanically, so they thicken and carry the weight of late-flowering buds far better.

The clamping system fits poles from 16 to 19 mm, the standard across the Secret Jardin Dark Room and Dark Street ranges and most grow tents on the market. No bracket, no bulky clip: the fan mounts up high and leaves your floor area completely free.

That is more than three years of continuous running. EC technology removes the brushes and therefore the main wear point of conventional motors, delivering reliability that spans many grow cycles.

Getting the placement right

Mount your first Monkey Fan just above the canopy, angled to sweep across the top of the plants rather than blowing straight at them — a constant frontal blast dries out the growing tips. Add a second unit below the canopy if your space is larger than 80 x 80 cm, so air moves between the pots and no damp pockets form around the substrate. Circulation should run permanently through both vegetative growth and flowering, including the dark period.

Does the Monkey Fan 24V come with a power supply?

This model runs on 24 V and needs a matching transformer. Recent Secret Jardin grow tents fitted with the Monkey Fan system already include the power supply; otherwise you will need a dedicated 24 V unit. Our BloomLED team can confirm compatibility with your setup before you order.

How many fans do I need for a 100 x 100 cm tent?

Two units is the sweet spot: one above the canopy and one beneath the foliage. At 107 m³/h each, you turn over the volume of a 1 m³ space dozens of times per hour, which is more than enough to even out temperature and humidity.

Is this fan oscillating?

No, the Monkey Fan 24V is fixed-position: you set the angle by hand when you mount it. That is exactly what keeps it so compact, so quiet and so frugal with power. If you want automatic sweeping, look at the 20 W oscillating model in the same range.
