Does the HI98129 use the 500 or 700 ppm TDS scale?

The HI98129 uses a fixed conversion factor (typically 0.5 — the 500 ppm scale). If your nutrient is labelled on the 700 scale or in EC, rely on the EC reading (μS/cm) which is universal and independent of the conversion factor. Most indoor growers steer by EC for that reason.
