Relative humidity is the climate parameter indoor growers watch least and regret most. Too dry and the stomata close, growth stalls and leaf edges crisp up. Too wet and botrytis walks straight into your flowering canopy. The Ultra Mist 4500 does more than push out mist: its built-in digital hygrostat actively holds the setpoint you dial in.
What separates a budget humidifier from the Ultra Mist 4500 is one word: regulation. A basic mist maker runs flat out until the tank is empty, swinging your grow tent from 45% to 75% RH in a few hours. The Ultra Mist 4500 reads ambient humidity continuously, compares it with your setpoint and switches nebulisation on or off accordingly. Set 55% RH for vegetative growth and it holds 55% RH — without you unzipping the tent three times a day.
That regulation changes the day-to-day reality of running a room. You no longer compensate by hand for the swing between lights-on and lights-off, and you stop chasing the hygrometer every time the extraction ramps up. The unit absorbs the variation and hands you a stable environment, which is exactly what roots and stomata need to work at full capacity.
Ultrasonic technology generates a cold fog of very fine droplets that blends into the ambient air instead of condensing onto your leaves. The dual 360 degree rotating nozzles can be aimed independently: upwards to let the mist diffuse through the volume, sideways to cover a long tent, or in opposition to even out a full grow room. That aiming freedom is what prevents damp cold spots and wet foliage, two classic starting points for fungal contamination.
The 4.5 litre tank fills from the top, with no dismantling and no spillage: one jug, one movement, and you are set for a full night. The touch LCD screen shows both the measured humidity and the target, while the supplied remote control lets you adjust mist output or the timer without squeezing behind your plants. The automatic dry cut-off shuts the transducer down as soon as the water level drops too low, so the ceramic never runs dry while you are away.
At BloomLED we have specialised in indoor growing for more than 10 years, and we judge every climate device by one question: does it still perform at the end of a full cycle? The Ultra Mist 4500 passes that test, from cuttings under a propagator dome through to late flowering.

You enter a humidity setpoint and the unit holds it. Nebulisation starts and stops on its own based on the humidity measured in the room. This is the function that turns a simple mist maker into a genuine climate control tool for your grow space.
Two outlets, each aimable independently through a full circle, spread the mist across the whole growing volume. Point the fog upwards or towards a wall rather than straight at the canopy, and you avoid droplets settling on leaves and localised condensation zones.
Measured humidity, target setpoint and timer are all visible at a glance on the LCD. The included remote lets you change settings from outside the tent, without disturbing the plants or opening the zip during the dark period.
Four and a half litres is enough to cover a full night of operation in most tent setups. Refilling happens from the top, with no need to lift out a reservoir or unplug the unit, so no more balancing a water container above your pots.
As soon as the water level becomes too low, the safety cut-off stops the ultrasonic transducer. Combined with the programmable timer, this protection means you can leave the unit running through a few days away from the room with complete peace of mind.
Ultrasonic nebulisation uses no powerful fan and no heating element, so operation stays discreet even when the grow space sits next to a living area. The 100-240 V / 50-60 Hz input works with any standard European mains installation.
The working window sits between 40 and 60% RH. Growers often push towards 65-70% for cuttings and early vegetative growth, while the root system is still limited, then step down gradually to 45-50% in flower to keep botrytis away from the buds. The Ultra Mist 4500 hygrostat is precisely what lets you move that setpoint stage by stage.
It depends on the volume you are humidifying, your extraction rate and the gap between ambient humidity and your setpoint. In a standard grow tent with a sensible setpoint, the unit only nebulises intermittently and one fill usually covers a full night or more. If the water runs out, the automatic cut-off protects the transducer.
It is strongly recommended, particularly in hard water areas. An ultrasonic humidifier throws everything dissolved in the water into the air, minerals included: with hard water you get a white dust film on leaves and equipment, plus premature scaling of the ceramic disc. Reverse osmosis or demineralised water noticeably extends the working life of the unit.
Set it up off the floor on a stable surface, clear of any standing water, rather than down among the pots. Aim the nozzles upwards or towards a wall instead of at the canopy, and leave some distance from the plants so the mist has time to blend into the air. Good air movement and a properly balanced extraction will handle the rest of the mixing.
Empty and rinse the tank weekly rather than endlessly topping it up, because standing water always ends up growing a biofilm. Clean the ceramic membrane with diluted white vinegar and a soft brush as soon as a white film appears, then rinse with clean water. A descaled unit keeps its original mist output and lasts considerably longer.
A digital hygrostat, dual 360 degree nozzles and a remote control in a unit under 90 euros: the Ultra Mist 4500 brings genuine automatic regulation to a price bracket where most humidifiers still offer nothing more than a manual output dial.
