The second setting manages the humidity of your space. Controlled hygrometry limits the risk of mould and botrytis, and lets you tailor the environment to each stage: more humid for cloning and growth, drier as harvest approaches.

The third button adjusts the negative pressure in your room. By keeping the space under negative pressure, the controller stops odours from escaping and optimises airflow through your carbon filter. Discretion and constant air renewal are guaranteed.

Installation and usage tips

Place the GSE unit outside the grow tent, in a dry and easily accessible spot, then run the 4 m probe to the heart of the canopy, away from the direct flow of the lamp. Plug your extractor fan into the output socket, set the temperature, humidity and pressure thresholds one by one, and let the controller work: the 3 LEDs confirm continuously that regulation is active. For maximum efficiency, always pair the controller with a carbon filter sized for your extractor and check that your tent is airtight to guarantee stable negative pressure. Re-check your thresholds after the first 24 hours of running, as a freshly sealed room behaves differently once the plants begin to transpire, and adjust the pressure setting whenever you add or change ducting, a silencer or a larger carbon filter.

How does the GSE controller maintain negative pressure?

The controller continuously modulates the power of the extractor fan connected to its output to keep a slight negative pressure in the growing space. Air enters through the lower openings and exits exclusively through the carbon filter, neutralising odours and renewing the air at all times.

What extractor power can I connect?

The unit drives an extractor fan through its output socket. Always make sure your extractor’s power stays within the limits specified by GSE. For more powerful EC fans or signal-based control, the BloomLED team can point you to the right controller.

Does the probe measure both temperature and humidity?

The 4 m probe reads the ambient conditions the controller uses to regulate temperature and humidity. Place it at canopy height, shielded from the direct beam of the lamp, for a measurement that truly represents your plants’ environment.

Is it suitable for a humid room?

Yes. Thanks to its IP44 housing and its socket protected by a cover, the GSE controller is particularly suited to high-humidity growing spaces. Still, keep the electronics away from direct water splashes.

Which accessories should I pair with this controller?

Pair it with a ducting extractor fan, a carbon filter for negative pressure and, depending on your needs, a humidifier or dehumidifier. For temperature and pressure regulation only, the matching GSE model may be enough; to manage humidity dedicatedly, add a humidity controller.
