The Growbro CO2 Bottle 1.8 kg is a passive CO2 enrichment system engineered for indoor grow cabinets and tents. It releases carbon dioxide gradually and continuously without any power supply or pressure regulator, making it a straightforward solution for growers managing spaces up to 4 m³. With 1.8 kg of CO2 content, it supports sustained photosynthetic activity throughout the vegetative phase and is fully compatible with all standard grow tent setups.

Unlike pressurised gas cylinders that require a regulator and timer, the Growbro CO2 Bottle releases carbon dioxide through a controlled passive diffusion mechanism. CO2 concentration rises gradually within the enclosed grow space, reducing the risk of concentration spikes that can stress plants. For a 4 m³ grow tent, ambient CO2 levels can be raised from the standard ~400 ppm atmospheric baseline toward the 800–1200 ppm range that most crops utilise for enhanced photosynthetic efficiency. No calibration, no electrical setup, no risk of leaks from pressure fittings.
The Growbro CO2 Bottle requires no dedicated infrastructure: no CO2 controller, no solenoid valve, no timer. It integrates directly into any existing grow tent or cabinet regardless of the lighting technology in use — including LED full-spectrum panels, HPS, or CMH. This makes it particularly well suited to hobby growers and small commercial operators who want measurable CO2 supplementation without the complexity or cost of a full gas injection system.
Elevating CO2 levels from the ambient 400 ppm toward 800–1200 ppm can increase photosynthetic rate by up to 30% in C3 plants. The Growbro bottle sustains this enriched environment passively across the full vegetative phase.
Zero power consumption. The passive diffusion mechanism eliminates the need for pumps, controllers or solenoid valves, reducing both setup cost and the number of potential failure points in your grow room.
Designed for grow tents and cabinets with an enclosed volume of up to 4 m³ — equivalent to a standard 120×120×200 cm tent. For larger volumes, multiple units can be used in parallel without risk of interaction.
No tools, no fittings, no calibration. The bottle is ready to deploy out of the box and integrates with any grow tent configuration. Setup time is under 2 minutes for any skill level.
Works alongside LED panels, HPS, CMH and fluorescent setups. CO2 enrichment is additive regardless of the light source, provided the PPFD levels are sufficient to drive the increased photosynthetic demand (~400+ µmol/m²/s recommended).
Continuous passive CO2 supply during the vegetative stage supports faster internodal development and denser leaf canopy. Results are most visible when temperature is maintained between 22–28 °C and nutrients are not the limiting factor.
Duration depends on ventilation frequency and ambient temperature. In a moderately ventilated 4 m³ tent with periodic air exchanges, one 1.8 kg bottle typically lasts between 4 and 8 weeks. Higher temperatures accelerate passive diffusion, reducing duration. Minimising unnecessary tent openings extends effective CO2 lifespan significantly.
Is the Growbro CO2 Bottle compatible with all grow tent brands and LED lighting?Yes. The bottle has no electrical or mechanical interface with any equipment — it simply sits inside the grow space. It is fully compatible with all tent brands (Secret Jardin, Gorilla, Homebox, etc.) and all lighting technologies. For LED setups, ensure your panels deliver at least 400 µmol/m²/s PPFD to make CO2 enrichment worthwhile.
What CO2 concentration levels does this bottle realistically achieve? In a sealed or semi-sealed 4 m³ tent, the Growbro bottle can raise ambient CO2 from the standard 400 ppm atmospheric level to approximately 800–1,200 ppm, depending on ventilation settings. This range is within the optimal window for most indoor crops. Beyond 1,500 ppm, returns diminish and ventilation management becomes critical.
Do I need a CO2 monitor or controller to use this bottle safely?A monitor is not strictly required for typical hobby use in a 4 m³ space, as passive diffusion self-regulates. However, for larger operations or precision cultivation, a CO2 meter (target range: 800–1,200 ppm) is recommended to validate enrichment levels and adjust ventilation accordingly. Do not use in unventilated occupied rooms.
