Does the Blumat Classic work with hydroponics?
The system is built for absorbent substrates: soil, coco, fibre. It is not suited to pure hydroponic setups (saturated rockwool, NFT, DWC) where capillary regulation cannot operate.
How high should I place the water reservoir?The reservoir must sit at least 30 to 50 cm above the pots to maintain sufficient pressure. The greater the height difference, the higher the potential flow. Avoid exceeding 1.5 m to protect the valves.
