How do I install the TORUS PerfectPH 130L in my hydro system?
Just place the cartridge directly in your reservoir or inline on the recirculating loop. No power, no plumbing tweaks. For a reservoir bigger than 130 L, step up to the 260L or 380L version. For non-recirculating systems, set your starting pH manually then use the cartridge to hold the value.
Why is the target window 5.7 to 6.5?That's the pH band where most macro and micronutrients (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, B, Mn, Zn) stay maximally available to hydroponic roots. Outside that window, certain elements precipitate or lock out, which leads to deficiencies and yellowing — even when your nutrient strength is correct.
When should I replace the cartridge?Lifespan is 8 to 12 weeks depending on your water hardness, solution EC and reservoir change frequency. Very hard water (high bicarbonate content) shortens runtime. When pH starts drifting again despite the cartridge being installed, it's time to swap in a fresh PerfectPH Recharge 500 mL.
Does PerfectPH work in soil or coco?PerfectPH was designed for recirculating hydroponics (DWC, NFT, drip, RDWC). In soil or hand-watered coco the contact time with the resin is too short — stick with classic pH down here. For recirculating coco runs, however, PerfectPH performs flawlessly.
