Is this pack suitable for indoor growing beginners?
Yes — that's exactly our target user. The HomeLAB 40 + SpectraBULB X30 pack is designed to start an indoor grow without guessing: the tent assembles in 15 minutes, the LED screws into the included E40 socket, you plug in the mains cable and you're ready. No deep technical knowledge required.
How many plants can I grow in this 40 × 40 cm tent?With 0.16 m² of floor area, you can comfortably host 1 mature mother plant in a 7 to 11 L pot, 2 to 3 medium plants in 5 L pots, or use the space for cloning / early growth (up to 9 to 12 clones in a tray). The 120 cm height allows a full cycle for short to medium plants.
Does the SpectraBULB X30 consume a lot of electricity?The SpectraBULB X30 is a 30 W LED, so around 0.72 kWh per day running 24h (0.36 kWh for 12h/day in flowering). For comparison, it's 3 to 4 times less than an equivalent CFL and without the heat. Over a 3-month 12/12 flower run, expect around 32 kWh — very reasonable.
Is the 100 cm cable enough, or should I pick 300 cm?It depends on the distance between the tent and your wall socket. In a closet near a plug: 100 cm is plenty. For an attic, an unequipped corner or if you want to run through an external timer placed above: the 300 cm option adds flexibility. Both versions are the same price.
What complementary accessories do you recommend?To get the most out of the pack we suggest a mechanical or digital timer to automate day/night, a small thermo-hygrometer to track the environment, and optionally a quiet extraction fan for longer runs. All our growshop accessories are compatible and available in store.
