The HomeBox Ambient Q120 is a 120 × 120 × 200 cm premium grow tent engineered in Germany to give you a perfectly controlled indoor environment. Its silver PAR+ reflective interior bounces the photosynthetic spectrum back onto your canopy instead of wasting it, while the steel frame and lightproof zippers seal heat, humidity and odours inside. On 1.44 m² of floor space you can run up to 36 cuttings in veg or 4 to 9 mature plants in flower under a 250–480 W LED grow light. It's the most versatile size in the HomeBox catalogue: compact enough to fit in a spare room, large enough to handle a full clone-to-harvest cycle.

PAR+ reflects light in the wavelength range plants actually use. Unlike cheap mylar, it minimises hot-spots and delivers a uniform PPFD distribution across the canopy — perfect for getting full output from a full-spectrum LED.
Ø19 mm steel poles and metal corner connectors hold up to 30 kg from the ceiling — enough to hang a full-spectrum LED panel, an inline fan and a carbon filter without sagging cycle after cycle.
The bottom tray pops out in seconds for rinsing between grows. It catches any irrigation spill and protects your floor — a detail that puts HomeBox a clear step above budget tents.
Pre-cut sleeves fit standard extraction diameters (125, 150, 200 mm) with drawcord seals so air pulls cleanly without odour leaks. Plug-and-play airflow for any inline fan setup.
The double-flap zip closure is fully blackout-rated, preventing any light leak during the dark cycle — essential to keep your 12/12 schedule clean in flower and avoid hermies or yield drops from light stress.
HomeBox invented the modern grow tent. Stitched fabric, stress-tested frames and clean finishing: this is the reference for growers who don't want to replace their tent every two years. BloomLED has stocked HomeBox for over a decade because customers come back happy.
To make the most of the 1.44 m² inside the HomeBox Ambient Q120, pair it with a 300–480 W (real wattage) full-spectrum LED with even diffusion. For ventilation, plan a Ø150 mm extraction kit with carbon filter to manage heat and neutralise odours through bloom. Add a thermo-hygrometer, a clip-on circulation fan and a mechanical timer — the three accessories that keep VPD between 0.8 and 1.4 kPa across veg and flower.
With 1.44 m² of floor area, the Q120 comfortably hosts 4 to 9 mature plants in 11–25 L pots (depending on whether you run SOG or ScrOG), or up to 36 cuttings and seedlings in veg. For dense Sea-of-Green setups, 9 to 12 plants in 6 L square pots is a sweet spot.
What LED wattage suits the Q120?For veg, a 200–250 W (real draw) full-spectrum LED is enough. For productive flowering over 1.44 m², target 350 to 480 W actual draw (the classic 250–350 W/m² ratio). A panel such as the SpectraPANEL X640 is sized for this footprint.
Is PAR+ really better than standard mylar?Yes. Thin mylar wrinkles, tears and creates hot-spots. The PAR+ silver lining on the Ambient series is engineered specifically to reflect the wavelengths used in photosynthesis with a more even spread and longer service life. In practice you gain PPFD uniformity without doubling lamp power.
How much usable height is left after the lamp and ducting are installed?Out of 200 cm outer height, expect roughly 165–175 cm of usable space once a slim LED, a circulation fan, an inline extractor and a carbon filter are fitted. That covers most indoor genetics, especially with a bit of SCROG or LST training on vigorous strains.
Does the HomeBox Q120 ship ready to use?Yes. It arrives folded in its carry bag with the steel frame, connectors, watertight tray and ceiling tie-downs. Assembly takes 20–30 minutes solo, no tools needed. BloomLED ships from France within 24–48 h, and our technical team is on email if you need help planning your room.
BloomLED take: the Q120 is our favourite size for growers stepping up from "it works" to "it actually yields". PAR+, solid frame, generous height — buy once, grow for years.
