Horticultural flowering lamp: good lighting for a good harvest
Horticultural flowering lamp: good lighting for a good harvest
Sunlight is a vital factor in the growth and development of a houseplant.
Today, we can better understand the relationship between light and our plants and how plants manage to absorb and use this energy.
Thanks to these studies and our technological evolution, we have managed to develop horticultural lamps capable of imitating sunlight in order to illuminate our plants without any light constraints and thus promote the growth and flowering of our crops. indoor.
The flowering cycle
The third and major stage of a plant is that of flowering, the one which leads to its reproduction.
In this stage, male plants produce pollen which aims to pollinate the pistil of a female flower. The female flowers represent a mass of calyxes, each containing an ovule topped with pistils. Pollination takes place when a grain of pollen is introduced into the pistil and unites with the ovule inside the calyx. Once fertilization has occurred, the pistils turn brown and a seed is born inside the bracts. The seeds are the result of this sexual propagation and have the genetic material of both plant parents.
In nature there is a 50% chance that a seed resulting from this union will give birth to a male or female plant. After this stage, female plants focus their energy on producing mature seeds, which will complete the female's life cycle and lead to her death. The male, for his part, dies after having produced all his pollen, the latter having gone in search of new pollination.
During the flowering period, plants have less water requirements than during the growth cycle. However, one factor remains crucial: the supply of light. And to help horticulturists with their indoor cultivation, there are numerous horticultural lighting solutions.
The importance of a good horticultural lamp
Horticulturists are aware of the importance of good light in order to obtain the best flowering as well as the best yield for their crop.
Regarding indoor growers, it is often proven that natural light is the most effective, unfortunately it is not always possible to grow outdoors, and sometimes even more practical to grow indoors. Current tools, such as horticultural lighting with timers, allow horticulturists to control their production by controlling the different plant cycles.
Currently it is possible to find a multitude of horticultural lamps on the indoor growing market, but still find the lighting adapted to your type of cultivation, your budget, or even find a system with good performance and optimal use Energy
LED lighting offers an optimal solution to support the flowering of your productions.
Economical and ecological, these LED lamps guarantee a great gain of light for a minimal operating cost, as well as the health of your plants because the LEDs produce very little heat and therefore protect them from a possible heatstroke.
What's more, with the diversity of systems and lamps, LED technology offers solutions adapted to horticulturists to support the growth and flowering of their plants.
